Integrated Steam Jacket · DN25–DN300 · PN16/PN40 · Up to +425°C
Reguvale's steam-jacketed control valve keeps viscous or freeze-prone media (heavy oil, bitumen, sulphur, molten polymer, chocolate) hot enough to flow, even when the line is idle. An integral steam or thermal-oil jacket wraps the body and bonnet so the process fluid never drops below pour-point.
The valve itself is a heavy-duty globe or cage-trim design in WCB carbon steel with SS316 / Stellite trim and metal-to-metal seat for sustained +425°C duty. Multi-spring pneumatic diaphragm or electric-motor actuators deliver the modulating stroke. The jacket accepts saturated steam or thermal-oil supply and is fully drainable for safe shutdown.
Standard sizes DN25–DN300 in PN16 / PN40 cover most refinery, petrochemical and food-process duty. Higher pressure ratings, alloy bodies and bellows seals are quoted on request.
Integral steam / thermal-oil jacket keeps heavy oil, bitumen, sulphur and molten polymer above pour-point during idle periods.
SS316 / Stellite-faced plug and metal seat handle sustained +425°C without seat softening or galling.
Plug, seat and packing can be replaced without breaking the steam jacket connection.
Jacket is fully drainable on shutdown, eliminating water-hammer risk and freeze damage.
Multi-spring diaphragm or reversing-motor actuator; positioner-ready for 3-15 psi / 4-20 mA.
WCB carbon steel body with full-length stainless or hard-facing on all wetted surfaces for long service life.

When the process fluid solidifies, gels or becomes too viscous to flow when cold (heavy oil, bitumen, sulphur, chocolate, molten polymer), a steam jacket keeps it hot enough to move - even when the line is idle.
Either. Low-pressure saturated steam (up to 4 bar) is most common; thermal oil is used for higher temperatures or where steam is not available.
Yes. The plug, seat ring and packing can all be replaced with the jacket connection undisturbed.
Refinery transfer lines, storage-tank discharge and pipeline pumping stations.
Polymer melt, hot-resin and high-viscosity intermediate service.
Molten sulphur, pitch and other freeze-prone chemicals.
Chocolate, caramel and fat-blending lines requiring constant temperature.
