Reguvale's DN100 NBR wafer butterfly valve is a concentric rubber-seated valve designed to be sandwiched between two PN16 pipe flanges. It is a compact and economical shutoff solution for 4-inch pipelines handling water, air, oil, and petroleum-based fluids.
The valve shown features a ductile iron body with epoxy coating, SS304 disc, and NBR seat rated for oil and fuel service up to +82°C. A nylon-coated lever handle with locking device allows quick 90° operation. The through-hole wafer design fits between ANSI, DIN, JIS, and BS flanges without special hardware.
Each valve is hydrostatically tested at our Tianjin factory before shipment. Other sizes (DN50–DN300) and seat materials (EPDM, Viton) are available on request.
DN100 NBR wafer butterfly valve – factory overview and product details.
A wafer butterfly valve weighs a fraction of a gate or globe valve of the same size and takes up very little face-to-face space, reducing installation cost.
90° rotation from fully closed to fully open in under 2 seconds with a lever handle, or smooth operation with a gearbox.
The NBR seat provides excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, and oily wastewater compared with standard EPDM.
Concentric rubber-lined design achieves Class VI bubble-tight shutoff when properly selected and installed.
Available with manual lever handle, worm gearbox, electric actuator, or pneumatic actuator for automated control.
Simple construction with few moving parts, replaceable seat, and no regular lubrication needed makes lifecycle cost very low.

A DN100 wafer butterfly valve is used for on/off isolation and light throttling in 4-inch pipelines handling water, air, oil, and compatible fluids. The NBR seat version is especially suitable for petroleum-based oils, fuels, and oily wastewater.
No. Because the wafer design relies on both pipe flanges to clamp the valve body in place, it is not suitable for dead-end or tank-bottom service where one flange may be removed. For those applications, choose a lug or flanged butterfly valve.
NBR is preferred for oils, fuels, and petroleum products. EPDM is better for water, air, and weak chemicals. For hot water or steam, EPDM or Viton/FKM should be considered instead.
Distribution, filter backwash, and oily wastewater lines.
Oil storage, transfer, and fuel lines where NBR seat compatibility is required.
Compressed air, lubrication, and process water isolation.
Cooling and chilled water isolation where NBR is acceptable.
