Challenge
A major desalination facility in the UAE required reliable isolation and flow-control valves in very large diameters (DN1200–DN2000) for seawater intake, pretreatment and product-water transmission. The specifications demanded ANSI and DIN flange drillings, epoxy-coated ductile iron bodies for seawater corrosion resistance, and 100% hydrostatic shell and seat testing before shipment.
Reguvale Solution
Reguvale engineered a package of large-diameter flanged butterfly valves with stainless-steel discs and EPDM seats, complemented by resilient-seated and wedge gate valves for isolation duties. Each valve was factory-tested, documented with mill certificates and shipped with spare seat kits.
Results
- Over 240 valves delivered in diameters up to DN2000 with zero leakage at seat-test pressure.
- Epoxy-coated ductile iron bodies met the 25-year seawater service life target.
- On-site commissioning supported by Reguvale engineers via remote inspection reports.
